6 Things to Know When Choosing a Vehicle Wrap Company

Looking for a vehicle wrap? You’ve probably noticed these days that more fleet vehicles like service vans, trucks and cars are being wrapped with eye-catching, colorful graphics. A lot of people are using vehicle wraps since the technology for them is a lot more affordable and the technology is much more advanced. However, you want to make sure that you are choosing the right company to do your vehicle wrap for you so that it looks the best that it can. Below are some things you want to know when you are looking for the right company.

1. Length of Time in Business

There are a lot of startups who are doing vehicle wraps. They are just starting to learn the business and even though the way that they can get the experience is to do that work, chances are that you don’t want to choose this company. The quality and value that you’re going to get from a company that is experienced is going to outweigh the discount that a new company is going to give you because they are new.

2. How Does the Environment Look?

If they’re working out of a dusty garage or a building that was vacant until recently, it’s not a good sign. There is also a possibility your vehicle wrap could have soot or dust between the print and the laminate. A super clean car surface is a requirement for your wrap to last. Will you get that from a dirty shop? You also want to avoid mobile installers. You want to choose the right company who has the right conditions, and the right conditions aren’t available with mobile installation.

3. Can They Show You a Portfolio?

The best example is if they have a professional website. Is there a gallery on there that showcases their previous work? What companies and customers have they wrapped vehicles for? Are they businesses that are well-known? It’s a good idea to contact the businesses and see what they have to say about their work. You also want to see if you can visit and look at the wrapped vehicles in person.

4. How Will They Incorporate Designs?

When you are checking the company’s previous work, look at the way that the designs are reflecting the company’s brand. Are the designs unique, eye-catching and aesthetically appealing? If their portfolio of work all looks similar, walk away. You want a design that helps you stand out, not blend in.

5. What Kinds of Materials are Used?

Good installers will be using 3M, Avery, hexis or VViViD cast film. If they are using something else, it’s not going to be the standards of the industry. They also should be using the best and latest printers and long-lasting laminates.

6. Is a Guarantee Offered?

If the installer is using the correct material and they’ve prepared your vehicle properly before they applied it, there isn’t any type of reason that the wrap won’t last anywhere from 3 to 5 years, based on the usage conditions and environment. An installer that is reputable is going to stand behind their work along with offering some kind of guarantee that they’ll replace or fix any type of wrap damage.

These are the six things that you want to consider when you are looking for someone to wrap your vehicle or vehicles. Remember, your vehicles are going to be representing you and your company. If they don’t look good, your company won’t look good either. Checking these things will help you with getting the best possible results and helping your company look the best that it can look.
